As I begin documenting my postcard collection you will notice one category that might have you scratching your head. I call it ladies in yellow dresses. Or elegant ladies in yellow dresses. Pretty ladies. Or couples. Or whatever I decide fits the category.
But why? Well, yellow is my newly adopted second favorite color. 🥴 For the longest time if anyone asked my favorite color I said grey. And I still love grey but yellow is working its way in. My husband and I got married later in life and we kept the event low key. For flowers I went to the local H-E-B grocery store and went with what they were going to have available in early April. My choices were wildflowers with a riot of colors or yellow and white. I went with yellow and white and I am so glad I did.
They're so pretty! Since then I've been leaning more and more into the yellow so when I first started collecting I thought looking for ladies in yellow dresses would be a nice nod to my wedding and a way to narrow my search. And yellow really pops so it was a good choice.
