One of the things that I've been doing as I have been delving into the postcard world is to figure out what kind of postcards I want to collect. When you listen to postcard collectors they can tell you all the specific things they collect. I have no idea because everything is so new and interesting to me
My current approach is to just get what I like and hope that a pattern will start to emerge. (I don't know what I'm going to do with the cards I decide I don't like. That's a problem for later Laurie.) One pattern that has been emerging is hand fans. I like the look of them, but I think the connection is because my mom collected actual hand fans. I like the idea that I collect something related to what she did.
Of course her fans are sitting in the storage unit waiting for me to go through them and while I will keep some I think this is a nice way to keep the line going.

The message on this one is funny to me.
Basically Angie tells Miss Kathrine that she's going to write now that she's writing others. Then the riveting line about the rain. And then my favorite part: Answer soon. So "I didn't get back to you but I need you to get back to me." I love the backs so much.
